YAOUNDE, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Cameroon have added Benoit Assou-Ekotto to an otherwise unchanged squad for next month's crucial World Cup qualifier away to Morocco although fellow defender Sebastien Bassong is doubtful through injury.

French coach Paul le Guen on Monday called up the players who thrashed Togo 3-O in October for the trip to face Morocco at Fes on Nov. 14 in their final 2010 World Cup qualifier.

Left back Assou-Ekotto has been recalled but his Tottenham Hotspur team mate, centre back Bassong, suffered a hamstring injury in the Premier League game against Arsenal on Saturday.

"It's not good news. It's my hamstring and I'll be out maybe four or five weeks. It just feels like my muscle is gone," he was quoted as saying in Monday's Daily Mirror. Cameroon, who top Group A with 10 points from fiove matches, must beat bottom side Morocco to guarantee a place at the finals in South Africa.

Second-placed Gabon, who are a point behind and visit Togo on the same day in Lome, can still qualify for their first World Cup if the "Indomitable Lions" do not win.

Morocco, who have three points to Togo's five, must win to have any chance of finishing third and qualifying for the 2010 Nations Cup in Angola.
