BUENOS AIRES, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Striker Federico Nieto scored a hat-trick in eight minutes and did not celebrate any of the goals as Colon beat Huracan 3-0 in the Argentine Apertura championship on Tuesday.

"To score three is spectacular although a bit hard because I did it to Huracan," said Nieto, who played for Huracan in the previous Clausura championship when they finished runners-up to Velez Sarsfield.

The 26-year-old, who struck in the 73rd, 80th and 81st minutes, has a tally of 10 goals in 11 matches and six in the last three including his first ever hat-trick. He scored five in 15 for Huracan in the Clausura.

Colon are third in the standings, level with Velez on 24 points and two points behind joint leaders Banfield and Newell's Old Boys after 12 matches.
