SANTIAGO, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa said he was uncomfortable at the way expectations had risen since he took over the side.
The former Argentina coach also said he disliked being the centre of attention after a week in which dozens of fans asked for his autograph during a training camp with his players.
"The focus that has been placed on my presence is not convenient," Bielsa, who coached Argentina between 1998 and 2004, said on Friday.
"It's uncomfortable to be the axis of a comparison in which I appear to be better positioned," added Bielsa, who also dismissed suggestions that he was a tactical innovator.
"It's right to say that I haven't invented anything, I've copied methods, it wasn't me who invented them. Imitation and copy are the axis of an education."
"I don't deserve so much attention."
