LAGOS, July 14 (Reuters) - Nigeria, Olympic soccer champions in 1996, have named strikers Victor Anichebe of Everton and Osaze Odemwingie of Lokomotiv Moscow in a 26-strong provisional squad for the Beijing Games next month.

Olympique Marseille defender Taye Taiwo and forward Obinna Nsofor of Chievo Verona were also included.

The squad will leave Nigeria on Tuesday for a training camp in Gwangyang, South Korea, where the definitive 22-man squad will be chosen, the Nigeria FA said.

Nigeria will move on to Tianjin for their first Group B match against Netherlands on Aug. 7. Japan and the U.S. are also in the group.
