ASUNCION, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Paraguay's preparations for the World Cup qualifier against Ecuador were interrupted on Wednesday after a storm flooded the pitch and caused a blackout at their training camp.
"We were without electricity during the night because of the storm," Paraguayan Football Association (APF) president Juan Angel Napout told reporters.
"The pitch is waterlogged and we couldn't do anything this morning...this hiccup did not affect the morale of the players."
The training camp at Ypane on the outskirts of Asuncion also serves as the team's accommodation.
Paraguay, who have four points from two games in the South American group, are at home to Ecuador on Saturday and visit Chile four days later.
Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo will miss the Ecuador game through injury while defender Julio Cesar Caceres is doubtful with a thigh strain.
