ASUNCION, June 15 (Reuters) - Brazil coach Dunga said nothing went right for his team as they succumbed 2-0 to 10-man Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

"There are days when things don't work," said Dunga, whose team also suffered a shock 2-0 defeat to Venezuela in a friendly earlier in the month.

"Paraguay made the most of their qualities..... we knew it would be a physical match."

Dunga, whose team face arch-rivals Argentina at home on Wednesday in another qualifier, said the timing of the games was awkward as some players had been on holiday since the end of the European season.

"We knew these games would be complicated with players coming back from holidays," he said.

"But we don't want to take any credit away from Paraguay and we hope to revert the situation at home.

"We have to keep on working, there's no other way."

Striker Adriano, who came on as a second-half substitute, said: "We have to pick ourselves up. We are sad to lose this game but there's another one to come.

"A win against Argentina would wipe out this result."

Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz, who scored his team's first goal, said: "We put everything into getting this result.

"The team was very well positioned and we didn't have any difficulty in controlling our opponents."

Coach Gerardo Martino added: "I think this win was based on effort and solidarity.

"We were consistent in our marking, we were always on top and we didn't let them settle."
