BANGKOK, May 18 (Reuters) - China international Sun Jihai remains in the dark about his Manchester City future but insists he still has what it takes to play in the Premier League.
Sun has yet to be told if his contract will be renewed but still expects to play in England next season after several teams expressed an interest in signing the versatile 30-year-old.
"I'm still very fit, still loving to play," Sun told reporters after City's 3-1 defeat by a Thailand all-stars side in Bangkok on Saturday.
"I'd love to stay playing in English football. I haven't had an answer from the club about renewing my contract. I'm happy but I want to know where I'll be playing."
Sun, who joined City six years ago from China's Dalian Shide, added that he had been contacted by several English teams.
However, City remain Sun's first choice despite being limited to just seven appearances this season.
"I've had offers," he said. "I'm getting old but I'm still fit enough to play in the Premier League. I've already proved to people that I can still play.
"With injuries and suspension, no one can expect to play every game."
Manchester City, who have yet to know the fate of manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, travel to Hong Kong to face a South China invitational XI next week.
