WELLINGTON, July 3 (Reuters) - Blackburn Rovers defender Ryan Nelsen, Celtic striker Chris Killen and former Fulham midfielder Simon Elliott were all confirmed in New Zealand's soccer team for next month's Beijing Olympics on Thursday.

The trio were named as the three over-age players allowed for the under-23 tournament, which runs from Aug. 6-23 in China.

Nelsen has not played for the All Whites since 2004 due to a nagging hamstring injury and club commitments.

The Blackburn captain, Killen, Elliott, Steven Old, Jeremy Brockie and Daniel Ellensohn have all played for the All Whites, while goalkeeper Jacob Spoonley has been in the senior squad but has not won a cap, New Zealand Soccer said.

New Zealand have been drawn in the same group as hosts China, Brazil and Belgium.

Goalkeepers: Liam Little (Otago United), Jacob Spoonley (Miramar Rangers)

Defenders: Michael Boxall (Santa Barbara University), Ian Hogg (Hawke's Bay United), Sam Jenkins (Hawke's Bay United), Ryan Nelsen (Blackburn Rovers), Steven Old (Macarthur Rams), Jack Pelter (Unattached), Aaron Scott (Waikato FC), Cole Tinkler (Team Wellington)

Midfield: Jeremy Brockie (Hawke's Bay United) Simon Elliott (Unattached), Craig Henderson (Dartmouth College), Cole Peverley (Hawke's Bay United), Shaun van Rooyen (Waikato FC)

Forwards: Daniel Ellensohn (Team Wellington) Chris Killen (Celtic), Sam Messam (Hawke's Bay United)
