LONDON, Aug 30 (Reuters) - Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Spartak Moscow for the transfer of Russia striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, the Premier League club said on Saturday.

No details of the deal were given on the club's website (www.tottenhamhotspur.com).

The 26-year-old has scored nine goals in 22 internationals, including three in the European Championship.

Tottenham visit Chelsea on Sunday but the new signing will not be involved.

His arrival could pave the way for unsettled Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov to leave the London club.
