Aug 18 (Reuters) - Manchester City's Bulgaria striker Valeri Bojinov faces a probable six-month absence after rupturing his right achilles tendon, the Premier League club said on their website (www.mcfc.co.uk).
Bojinov sustained the injury during the warm-up before Sunday's 4-2 defeat at Aston Villa. City manager Mark Hughes described it as a "huge blow" for the player, who was preparing for his first start since injuring knee ligaments last August.
