VIENNA, June 27 (Reuters) - Switzerland playmaker Hakan Yakin is to leave Swiss club Young Boys Berne after impressing during his country's otherwise disappointing Euro 2008 campaign.

Yakin, 31, has made use of a get-out clause in his contract allowing him to move to a foreign club, Young Boys announced in a statement on Friday.

The club, who finished runners-up in the Swiss league behind Basel last season, said Yakin was weighing up rival offers from Qatar and England.

The attacking midfielder was deployed as a striker by Switzerland following an injury to top scorer Alex Frei and went on to score all three of his team's goals at the tournament.

Yakin has made three previous attempts to prove himself abroad with short-lived spells at Paris St Germain, Stuttgart and Galatasaray.
