LONDON, Feb 12 (Reuters) - Arsenal have the self-belief to regain the Premier League title but cannot afford to get complacent after establishing a five-point lead over their title rivals, manager Arsene Wenger said.

The Londoners, chasing their first league title since 2004, overcame a stubborn Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Monday with an early Philippe Senderos goal and a late strike from top scorer Emmanuel Adebayor.

With Manchester United losing to local rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford and Chelsea held at home by Liverpool on Sunday, Arsenal have opened a handy cushion at the top.

Wenger's side have 63 points from 26 games, five ahead of United and eight clear of third-placed Chelsea.

"We still have twelve games, we are in a good position, we believe we can do it but we are not a fool as well, we know it's far from being over and we will have to fight until the last minute of the championship, certainly," Wenger told the club's Web site (www.arsenal.com).

Arsenal's run-in includes visits to Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge, while fourth-placed Everton and Liverpool visit the Emirates.

"We have a hard programme in front of us like everybody else," Wenger added.

"I don't want my team to focus on the difference between us and the rest, I want them to focus on strengthening our lead and going to every game to keep that momentum going and assert our authority and to win every game, play like real challengers."
