July 11 (Reuters) - European champions Manchester United still owe the city of Moscow 148,000 euros ($233,400) for transporting thousands of fans from the city's airports to the Luzhniki Stadium for the Champions League final in May.

A city spokesman said they had used 670 buses to transport some 40,000 Manchester United and Chelsea fans from the city's three airports to the stadium and back. United won the trophy after a penalty shootout.

"Unfortunately, Manchester United have not paid us back in full. They still owe us about 148,000 euros," he told a news conference on Friday. A spokesman for United said they expected to settle the bill by the end of the month.
