LONDON, March 9 (Reuters) - The FA Cup quarter-finals continue on Sunday with the shockwaves still reverberating after the elimination of Manchester United and holders Chelsea.
Portsmouth, who won 1-0 at United on Saturday, are now favourites to lift the trophy for the second time in their history although Middlesbrough, the only other Premier League survivors, will also fancy their chances.
Boro host Championship (second division) side Cardiff City, the only Welsh club to win the Cup, and can take nothing for granted after Barnsley's 1-0 upset win over Chelsea on Saturday.
The other tie features League One (third division) Bristol Rovers at home to West Bromwich Albion of the Championship.
After years of domination by the country's so-called big four clubs, there is a chance of the first FA Cup final between two sides outside the top division since league football began in 1888-89.
Egypt striker Mido believes Boro will not have a better opportunity to land the trophy for the first time.
"We're dreaming about it," he told the club's Web site (www.mfc.premiumtv.co.uk). "Playing a lower division side is always going to put pressure on us and we need to respect their quality players, the ones who can finish games."
