LONDON, July 3 (Reuters) - New Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has released 10 players in preparation for the new season, the Premier League club said on their Web site (www.mcfc.co.uk).
The most notable of names were former Scotland striker Paul Dickov, Brazilian Geovanni, Emile Mpenza and Sun Jihai, who has already signed a deal with Championship (division two) side Sheffield United.
Irish defender Gary Breen and Filippo Mancini, son of former Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini, are also among those released.
