Aug 24 (Reuters) - Former Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello says his recent visit to London had nothing to do with Tottenham Hotspur, whose boss Martin Jol has been under pressure after a poor start to the season.
"I haven't tried to talk with Tottenham and neither have Tottenham talked with me," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
Former Italy coach Marcello Lippi, also a linked with Spurs in the media, has told Sky Italia that the Libyan and Turkish national teams had contacted him last year but says he is happy being a commentator for the time being.
He also said Italy, who he led to World Cup glory, would recover from their 3-1 friendly defeat in Hungary on Wednesday and produce results when it mattered.
