Aug 18 (Reuters) - Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal, the Premier League club said on their website (www.arsenal.com) on Monday.
Adebayor, 24, was linked with some of Europe's top clubs during the close season but ended the speculation earlier this month by declaring his "heart is with Arsenal."
The Togo forward joined in 2006 from Monaco and following Thierry Henry's departure last year, he emerged as a key player for Arsene Wenger's side, scoring 30 goals last season.
