Dowie sacked by Coventry

Feb 11 (Reuters) - English Championship side Coventry City have sacked manager Iain Dowie after a year in the job, the club said on their Web site (www.ccfc.premiumtv.co.uk) on Monday.

Dowie was the 1987 FA Cup winners' ninth manager since their relegation from the Premier League in 2001 after 34 years in the top flight.
