SOFIA, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Tottenham Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov described the second leg of their League Cup semi-final against Arsenal on Tuesday as their "match of the year".
"Every single match is important for me no matter if it'a Cup game or a league clash and I'm searching for victory in every game," Berbatov told Bulgarian Darik radio on Monday.
"However, Tuesday's clash with Arsenal promises to be the match of the year for us," he said.
Tottenham, who have not beaten Arsenal in their last 20 meetings in all competitions, host their north London rivals after a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg.
"We all know about the animosity between both teams' fans and it'll be a good opportunity for us to show which is the better side," Berbatov said.
"We have a slight advantage from the first leg, we're confident we can go through but it's going to be extremely difficult because they are a top-class team."
As for his personal popularity with the White Hart Lane fans, Bulgaria's captain said: "I'm just trying to do my work in the best possible way.
"It's nice to hear my name being chanted by the fans but I feel a bit uneasy in such a moment. I feel nervous with all my team mates around me."
