Fulham release eight following league survival

LONDON, May 23 (Reuters) - Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has released eight players following the club's narrow relegation escape from the Premier League.

The club announed on Friday that United States international captain, Carlos Bocanegra would be leaving along with Jari Litmanen, Simon Elliott, Ian Pearce, Michael Timlin and Bjorn Runstrom.

Defender Paul Stalteri has also returned to Tottenham Hotspur following the end of his loan spell.
