LONDON, July 3 (Reuters) - Aston Villa have formalised a permanent transfer for Curtis Davies from newly promoted Premier League club West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee.

Davies, 23, who joined on a season-long loan deal for the 2006/07 season, has signed a four-year contract.
