O'Neill signs American goalkeeper Guzan for Villa

Aston Villa's manager Martin O'Neill has ruled himself out of the running for the job but remains a favourite with bookmakers

LONDON, July 12 (Reuters) - Aston Villa have agreed to sign American international goalkeeper Brad Guzan from Chivas USA, the club announced on its website on Saturday (www.avfc.co.uk).

The 23-year-old arrives as a replacement for Scott Carson, who returned to Liverpool following a loan deal and Thomas Sorenson, who was released by manager Martin O'Neill at the end of last season.
