RIO DE JANEIRO, June 8 (Reuters) - AC Milan's Kaka could sign for Real Madrid in the next few hours, Real president Florentino Perez said on Monday after the playmaker underwent a medical in Brazil.

Media reports said the fee would be around 68 million euros ($94 million), which would make the transfer the second biggest ever after Zinedine Zidane joined Real from Juventus for around 73 million euros in 2001.

"If he decides to leave Milan, Real is the ideal club for him," Perez told Italy's Sky television.

"It is possible that during the night the player will announce that he is joining Real."

Reports have said the 2007 world player of the year, who is on international duty with Brazil, is set to hold a news conference in the next few hours.

Milan, who are considering selling for economic reasons, said last week that the move would be discussed with Kaka on Monday but that no deal had been completed. The Serie A side have made no further comment.

Earlier, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said the 27-year-old had undergone a medical at the request of Real.

REAL DIRECTORS

The CBF said on their website (www.cbf.com.br) that Kaka was examined in Recife, where Brazil face Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday.

"The Brazilian team's technical staff agreed to a request from Kaka and the directors of Real Madrid and released the player to undergo routine exams at a clinic in Recife," said the statement.

"The CBF accepted the role of making the logistical arrangements for the exam, through the head of the medical department, Dr Jose Luiz Runco, who accompanied the player during the tests to which he was submitted."

Kaka, who converted a penalty in Brazil's 4-0 win in Uruguay on Saturday, has refused to discuss his future since joining up with the Brazil squad last Tuesday.

Brazil coach Dunga also asked the players to forget about transfers until after the Paraguay match, but he appeared to be swimming against the tide.

Globo television's website (www.globoesporte.com) said three Real Madrid directors plus a team doctor oversaw the tests.

Kaka is also due to play for Brazil at the Confederations Cup in South Africa which starts this weekend.
