LONDON, July 22 (Reuters) - Wigan Athletic have signed striker Amr Zaki on a year-long loan from Egyptian club Zamalek, the club announced on Tuesday.
"It's been a real tough deal to push through, but I'm delighted that Amr's finally a Wigan Athletic player," manager Steve Bruce told the club website

The 25-year-old Egyptian international is currently FIFA's number one ranked striker, having scored 27 goals in 48 appearances and is twice an African Cup of Nations winner.
"I've come to England to score goals. I want to show the manager and the fans that they have made a good choice," added Zaki.
