ALMELO, Netherlands, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Heracles Almelo came from behind to upset 10-men Feyenoord with a 3-1 victory on Sunday, on the opening weekend of the Dutch league season.

Injury-hit Feyenoord made a fine start with Andre Bahia opening the score with a header after 47 seconds but they were reduced to 10 men after 30 minutes when Jonathan de Guzman was sent off for elbowing.

Ragnar Klavan set up Darl Douglas seven minutes before the interval to equalise and second-half goals by Klavan and Karim Bridji settled the match.

PSV Eindhoven, 5-1 winners at Utrecht on Saturday, are top with three points. Ajax Amsterdam suffered a stunning 2-1 defeat on Saturday at Willem II Tilburg.

Newcomers ADO Den Haag enjoyed a 5-2 win at Sparta Rotterdam who had gone ahead after four minutes with Joshua John on target.

Csaba Horvath, Yuri Cornelisse and Richard Knopper repaired the damage before the break. After Yuri Rose pulled one back for Sparta, Knopper and Fabio Caracciolo completed the rout.

Den Haag finished with 10 men after a red card for Aleksandar Rankovic.

Christian Grindheim, Tarik Elyounoussi and Danijel Pranjic scored for Heerenveen in a 3-2 win at Volendam despite Jack Tuyp hitting a double for the second division champions.
