Dec 9 (Reuters) - Yiannis Papacostas has resigned after 18 months as coach of Panserraikos, the Greek Super League club announced on its website (http://www.panserraikos-gr.com/).
It was the third time that Papacostas, who took the Serres club from the second division to the Super League for the first time after 16 years last summer, had offered to resign.
Panserraikos, who are currently 14th in the 16-team Super League, have denied reports that Cyprus coach Angelos Anastasiadis is to be Papacostas' replacement.
