PARIS, Oct 6 (Reuters) - France striker Nicolas Anelka is a doubt for Saturday's World Cup qualifier in Romania because of a leg injury, according to his Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Anelka netted Chelsea's second goal in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday before limping off with a thigh muscle problem.

"I'm not sure yet whether he can play with the national team. For the first game, it seems complicated. But he can stay with the French team," Scolari told Monday's edition of French sports daily L'Equipe.

"He needs two or three days rest and maybe he will be able to play the second match."

France, fourth in their qualifying Group Seven after two matches, travel to Romania on Saturday and take on Tunisia at the Stade de France in a friendly three days later.
