Hamburg reject Real bid for Van der Vaart

July 25 (Reuters) - Hamburg SV said they have rejected an offer of 7 million euros from Real Madrid for Dutch midfielder Rafael van der Vaart.

"The offer wasn't even worth considering," HSV sporting director Dietmar Beiersdorfer said.

Van der Vaart, who was eager to transfer to Spain last year, has a contract to 2010. He can, however, leave in 2009 for a fixed 1.5-million euro fee.
