MADRID, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Striker Robinho struck two second-half goals to help Real Madrid earn a 4-2 win over 10-man Olympiakos in an action-packed Champions League Group C game at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.
Real got off to a flying start with skipper Raul taking his Champions League tally to 58 goals in the second minute, but Olympiakos equalised almost immediately through former Atletico Madrid winger Luciano Galletti.
The visitors had barely finished celebrating when defender Vassilis Torosidis was sent off for fouling Ruud van Nistelrooy, but they refused to fold and took the lead when former Real Madrid centre-back Julio Cesar volleyed home after the break.
Real's numerical advantage eventually told, however, with Robinho heading in his first goal from point-blank range at the far post midway through the second half.
The Brazilian then won a penalty, which Van Nistelrooy fired over the bar, before curling in Real's third. Substitute Javier Balboa put the icing on the cake with a fourth in injury time.
