ROME, June 18 (Reuters) - AS Roma have signed Norwegian international defender John Arne Riise from Liverpool for five million euros ($7.74 million), the Serie A club said on Wednesday.
Riise has signed a four-year contract, a statement on the club's Web site (www.asroma.it) said.
The 27-year-old, who can also play on the left side of midfield, notched up over 300 appearances for Liverpool after moving to Anfield from Monaco in 2001.
