ATHENS, May 17 (Reuters) - Olympiakos Piraeus completed their 13th domestic league and cup double when they beat Aris Salonika 2-0 in the Greek Cup final at the Kaftanzoglio Stadium, Thessaloniki on Saturday.
Serbian striker Darko Kovacevic and Polish defender Michal Zewlakow scored the goals - one in each half - as Olympiakos won their fourth Cup final in seven years.
Aris enjoyed plenty of possession in the opening half hour but were unable to create any significant chances.
They needed Slovakian goalkeeper Marian Kelemen, preferred to Greece number two Costas Chalkias, to keep them level as he got down well to his right to keep out a stinging shot from Predrag Djordjevic after 16 minutes.
Argentine winger Luciano Galletti, however, was causing problems down the right and his cross in the 33rd minute picked out the unmarked Kovacevic who met it with a powerful header past Kelemen.
Three minutes later, Neto almost put Aris level but his shot from the right slid agonisingly wide of the far post.
Galletti was again the provider eight minutes into the second half when his free kick from close to the right corner flag found Zewlakow whose header made it 2-0.
Galletti then rattled the crossbar with a long range shot before spoiling his day by missing a penalty.
Aris tried to claw their way back into the game and created a number of half chances but they were unable to break down a solid Olympiakos defence.
