Slavia win first Czech title since 1996

PRAGUE, May 17 (Reuters) - Slavia Prague won their first Czech title since 1996 after a 2-2 draw with Jablonec on Saturday.

Title defenders Sparta Prague finished second, three points behind, after losing 4-3 at Slovan Liberec.

Slavia will enter the Champions League at the third qualifying round, while Sparta go into the second qualifying stage.

Banik Ostrava sealed third place and earned a spot in the first round of the UEFA Cup with a 2-0 victory over Bohemians Prague, who were relegated.
