French defender Puygrenier leaves Nancy for Zenit

July 28 (Reuters) - French defender Sebastien Puygrenier is leaving Nancy to join UEFA Cup winners Zenit St Petersburg, a spokesman for the Ligue 1 club said.

The 26-year-old was expected to sign a long-term contract for a transfer fee of around six million euros, he added.

Puygrenier had also been approached by Ligue 1 clubs St Etienne, Lille and Paris St Germain.
