July 26 (Reuters) - AS Roma's French defender Philippe Mexes has spoken of the 'nightmare' of having his car stolen from outside his Rome house with his two-year-old daughter still inside it.

The thieves abandoned the vehicle shortly after taking it, presumably when they realised a child was aboard.

"It was the biggest scare of my life," he was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport. "It was a nightmare. Fortunately, it ended well."
