Aug 25 (Reuters) - There is widespread pressure on match officials to manipulate games in Bulgaria, according to two former referees who have been banned for life after making errors in games.
"It's a very well-organised network for manipulation of matches," Momchil Vraykov told a news conference. Vraykov and fellow former referee
Dimitar Dimitrov said they had been approached several times about "helping" certain teams.
Their comments came a week after Borislav Alexandrov, chairman of the Bulgarian Football Union referees' commission, was temporarily suspended over allegations of match-fixing.
