LONDON, May 29 (Reuters) - Spanish La Liga football club Getafe is up for sale for about 40-50 million euros ($62-78 million), club Chairman Angel Torres told Reuters on Thursday.
Several UK and Middle Eastern groups have already shown interest, Torres said.
"We want to sell because we've been here quite a long time," he said, adding that he had no clear preference as to a buyer.
London-based investment bank Seymour Pierce is looking for a buyer, a person familiar with the situation said.
Torres bought the Madrid-based club seven years ago when it was playing in the second division B. The club is now in the top La Liga division and has delivered profits for five years, Torres said.
