BUCHAREST, May 24 (Reuters) - Romanian goalkeeper Danut Coman has broken a thumb and will miss next month's European championship finals in Austria and Switzerland, the Romanian Soccer Federation official Web site (www.frf.ro) said on Saturday.
"Coman injured his right thumb during a training session," the site said. "It is a serious fracture needing three weeks to recover."
It said CFR Cluj's Eduard Stanciou would replace Rapid Bucharest's Coman, who was seen as Romania's second choice behind Bogdan Lobont of Dinamo Bucharest.
Euro 2008 starts on June 7.
