KUMASI, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Captain El Hadji Diouf and two Senegal team mates have been dropped for Thursday's African Nations Cup Group D decider against South Africa for staying out late without permission, officials said.
The others are long-standing goalkeeper Tony Sylva and midfielder Ousmane Ndoye.
The three were excluded from the team for the match in Kumasi, which Senegal must win to have any chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals.
The trio broke a night time curfew after the squad arrived in Kumasi earlier this week, officials added. They have been suspended for the game by new coach Lamine Ndiaye.
Diouf has been banned before by Senegal for visiting a night club before an international.
The players' suspension follows on the resignation of coach Henryk Kasperczak on Sunday. He quit after Senegal lost 3-1 to Angola, a result that left them with only a slim hope of making the last eight.
